My recent stay at Monastery Hotel was a mixed bag. The spacious room was comfortable and the staff provided excellent service, making me feel very welcome. However, there were a few issues with the amenities, such as an unreliable TV and a very loud heating system that disturbed my sleep. The hotel definitely has potential but could use some upgrades to enhance the overall experience.
Rooms

The King room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but it was a bit dated and lacked some essential features. The fireplace looked nice but didn't warm the room, and the noisy heating system was a major detractor for a good night's sleep.
Service

The service was friendly and accommodating, with the staff being pleasant and helpful during my stay. They resolved the TV issue quickly, showing a good level of customer service.
Location

The location is decent, within walking distance of downtown and close to restaurants. However, it's a bit far for those looking to explore the area on foot comfortably.
Dining

Dining options were limited, and although room service was available, I didn't experience the dining firsthand. However, the breakfast setup seemed a bit underwhelming with limited seating.
Facilities

The hotel had the basic facilities like room service and housekeeping, but the gym was lacking. I also noticed some cleanliness issues throughout the hotel, which was disappointing.

I had a somewhat mixed experience at the Monastery Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and went above and beyond during an emergency situation in St. John's, which made me feel appreciated. However, the amenities and dining services could use significant improvement, as my room had a few issues, and the food quality did not meet my expectations. Overall, I'd say the hospitality from staff was a highlight, even if other aspects fell short. 😊
Rooms

My stay at the Monastery Hotel was quite pleasant overall. The cozy jacuzzi king suite was a highlight, providing comfort and a bit of luxury. While the staff were extremely friendly and service-oriented, the dining experience at the bistro left something to be desired. I encountered some issues with the shower, but the room's charm made up for it somewhat.

I loved the cozy jacuzzi king suite I stayed in. it was spacious and had a sense of quiet luxury. However, the showerhead could have been better. For someone with mobility issues, a larger showerhead or an extension would have made a difference.
